Basiliscus (475-476). AR Half Siliqua. Ravenna mint, 475 AD. D/ D N BASILISCVS P AVG. Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. R/ Turreted figure holding sceptre and cornucopiae standing left, right foot on prow; R-V across fields. RIC X 3307; Ranieri 199-200 var. (legends). AR. 1.05 g. 14 mm. RRRR. Excessively rare, just a few specimens have appeared on the market. A superb example with clearly readable legend. Some oxidation and roughness, otherwise. Good VF.
