Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Silhouette uniface plaquette of the beginning of XVI century. (Bronze partially gilted, oval, 114.5 x 92.3 mm, 175.00 g). Saint Peter and Saint Paul standing at sides of an altar on which two candelabra soar. Around on the oval frame is engraved the inscription: + SOC. CORP. XPI. + SACROS TE BAS + PRINC. APOST + IN VATICANO. Parts of the two candlesticks are missing. Original cast. Fixing holes on the frame. Very rare. Ex Astarte VIII, 11 October 2001, lot 191.
