Notes
This volume by Andrea Cavicchi represents the natural continuation of the author’s previous catalogue dedicated to the coinage of the Duchy of Urbino. The work gathers and classifies all coins struck at the mint of Pesaro, regardless of the issuing authority, from the issues of the Malatesta lordship in the early 15th century to the reign of Francesco Maria II Della Rovere (1574–1624).

The catalogue follows a typological structure, with each chapter introduced by a historical and numismatic overview, followed by detailed descriptions of the coins, listed in descending order of value. The volume also revises some traditional attributions, transferring to Pesaro several issues previously assigned to the mint of Urbino.

The work is enriched by colour plates with enlargements of the finest specimens and an extensive bibliography, making it a useful reference tool for collectors and scholars.
