ΓΦAYC TINA ΘЄA LE Veiled and draped bust of Faustina senior right; hair elaborately waved in several loops around head, braided, drawn up, and coiled on top with pearls; Γ Є (date) across field. Always through a tetradrachm from the Dattari collection minted in the same year (5 = AD 141- 142) as the previous number 257, Antoninus Pius repeats the memory of the passing and divine consecration of his consort Faustina I, who appears on the reverse with a veiled bust according to the funeral ritual, which nonetheless highlights the noble and serene face of the deceased beloved empress. A rare coin of excellent style and illustrious provenance.
