Another Antonine drachm with a pleasing laureate bust of the emperor on the obverse and on the reverse, the well-known elegant Isis Pelagia with sistrum and basileion virtually sailing over the seawater towards Alexandria and the harbour with the Lighthouse. A much appreciated and repeated image that we have already encountered in the tetradrachm at number 262 in the collection, and which, in this specimen, is plastic and sharp in every detail.
