Splendid and perhaps unique tetradrachm from a prestigious collection: images sharp and sculptural, perfectly centred. A practically uncirculated coin and listed only by Dattari-Savio and Emmett. On the reverse, the full figure of the Alexandrian Helios saluting recalls the similar statues placed one on the top of the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the other on the column in front of the Serapeum that we still find in situ today, erect and bare.
