Cheshire Masonic Charities Steward’s badge, dated 1913, gilt and enamel, suspended from its original deep claret ribbed silk ribbon.
The obverse with enamelled cross bearing a central circular panel inscribed “Cheshire Masonic Charities”, depicting a classical building within a landscaped setting, surrounded by laurel wreath decoration. Above, the suspension bar enamelled “Steward 1913”, with heraldic crest surmount. The reverse plain, with maker’s mark “Kenning & Son, London”, retaining its original pin fitting.
A well-made and attractive provincial Masonic charity steward’s badge, representative of early 20th-century English Masonic regalia.
Condition: Very good, with minor enamel losses and light surface wear consistent with age; ribbon with slight wear.
