Masonic Commemorative Jewel, England, dated 1914–1918.
Silver jewel suspended from a dark blue ribbed silk ribbon. The obverse depicts a standing allegorical female figure with outstretched wings, holding a classical temple, within a laurel wreath and flanked by the dates “1914” and “1918”, surmounted by a square and compasses. Plain pierced reverse engraved “W. Bro. R. Colling” with issue number No. 14379, retaining original horizontal pin fitting. Hallmarks present to the lower reverse.
A fine First World War commemorative Masonic jewel, well modelled and of good quality, commemorating service during the Great War.
Condition: Very good, light surface wear and patina consistent with age; ribbon with minor wear.
Period: Circa 1919–1920.
