A finely detailed Steward’s Jewel issued for service to the East Lancashire Masonic Benevolent Institution, dated 1921. The jewel is suspended from its original pale blue ribbed silk ribbon, mounted with a gilt and enamelled bar inscribed:

The obverse features an architectural façade incorporating symbolic Masonic elements, flanked by supporters and centred with the heraldic shield of Lancashire, beneath enamelled scrolls reading:

The reverse is plain, retaining the original suspension fittings, long pin, and clear maker’s mark:

with registered silver marks present.
