A 1927 Sterling Silver and Enamel Badge by G. Kenning & Son, London (44.28 mm, 46.15 g).
An attractive commemorative badge featuring the Prince of Wales’s Feathers, finely executed in sterling silver and blue enamel. The obverse displays the iconic plume of three ostrich feathers rising from a coronet, above the motto ICH DIEN on a blue enamel scroll, encircled by a blue enamel ring inscribed R.M.I.G. 1927. Set on a radiating starburst background.
The reverse fitted with original pin and catch, stamped G. KENNING & SON, LONDON, and bearing full English hallmarks for London, 1927, including the lion passant for sterling silver and maker’s mark G.K.&S.
Condition: Very fine; light age toning, enamel intact.
A well-crafted example of early 20th-century British regalia by a noted London maker.
