A handsome early presentation jewel of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, comprising a red and blue ribbed ribbon suspended from an engraved top bar dated 2nd DEG. 6.11.27. Below hangs the Order’s characteristic cross-form medal with central buffalo head (eyes set with red stones) encircled by blue enamel bearing the motto NEMO MORTALIUM OMNIBUS HORIS SAPIT. The reverse is engraved: Bro. Charles R. West Admiral Jellicoe Lodge No. 2217 Exalted 14.11.31 Condition: Very good; ribbon frayed at ends, medal with light wear, enamel intact and bright. A fine and fully documented RAOB presentation jewel from the interwar period.
