A highly attractive and historically significant Founder’s Jewel for Finchley Lodge No. 5031, dated 1928, crafted in sterling silver with gilt and enamel elements, and suspended from its original pale-blue moiré ribbon. Founder jewels are among the most prestigious lodge awards, presented only to the original establishing members of a new lodge.
The top bar is of ornate scrollwork, bearing a white enamel scroll inscribed:

Suspended from this is a split pale-blue ribbon decorated with a finely modelled Masonic roof-and-lantern device, symbolising the lodge’s foundation and guidance.
The main medallion is an eight-pointed starburst, centred by a superb hand-painted enamel vignette of a church tower and tree—an emblem unique to Finchley Lodge. This is surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed:
