A fine sterling silver and enamel steward jewel issued for the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Festival of February 1933. The ornate gilt and white-enamelled six-point form encloses the central heraldic shield of blue and red wavy bars. The surrounding legend reads ROYAL MASONIC BENEVT INSTN · FESTIVAL FEB. 1933, with the lower blue scroll motto PRAECEDENTIBUS INSTA.
Suspended from the original crimson ribbon and gilt scroll top bar with blue enamel STEWARD panel and heraldic shield device.
Reverse with full London sterling silver hallmarks for 1933 and maker’s mark J.R. Gaunt & Son, London.
Condition: Very fine; enamel complete; mild surface wear to gilding; ribbon slightly age-toned but original.
