A fine sterling silver and enamel steward jewel issued by the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls in 1940, incorporating the gilt-and-enamel provincial emblem of Worcestershire. The cross-form medallion has radiating faceted arms and a central enamelled roundel enclosing the Institution’s heraldic device beneath the inscription ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR GIRLS. The top bar is enamelled STEWARD 1940.
Reverse stamped KENNING & SON LTD LONDON, with full London sterling silver hallmarks for 1940 and maker’s mark G.K.&S LTD.
Condition: Very fine; enamel intact; slight tarnish to silver; ribbon original and gently age-toned.
A scarce wartime RMIG jewel with provincial clasp.
