Grand Lodge of England Past Master jewel, gilt and enamel, suspended from its original dark green ribbed silk ribbon with pale borders, the ribbon embroidered “RGL” and “GLE”, fitted with an ornate gilt suspension bar and horned terminals.
The obverse with a circular gilt and blue enamel medallion surmounted by a crown, the border inscribed “GRAND LODGE OF ENGLAND”, enclosing a standing lamb within a gilt field, suspended from an engraved gilt bar inscribed “PIONEER LODGE No. 4586”.
The reverse plain gilt with openwork details, engraved “Presented to Bro. Reginald Moore, Pioneer Lodge No. 4586, on the Registers”, with hallmarks “CU” and maker’s marks, fitted with its original long pin fastening.
A well-made mid-20th century English Masonic jewel, associated with Pioneer Lodge No. 4586, notable for its restrained colour scheme, fine enamel work, and clear personal attribution.
Condition: Very good, with light surface wear and patina consistent with age; enamels intact; ribbon well preserved.
