A silvered Masonic commemorative medal issued to mark the Jubilee of H.R.H. The Duke of Connaught, spanning the years 1777–1947. The medal is suspended from its original vertically striped ribbon in red, blue and white, fitted with a period pin-back bar suspension.
The obverse features a finely modelled crowned portrait bust of The Duke of Connaught, executed in relief within a circular medallion. The reverse displays a detailed heraldic composition with supporters flanking a central armorial shield, surrounded by the inscription:
H.R.H. The Duke of Connaught M.W.G.M. 1917
and dated 1777–1947, commemorating the jubilee period.
The medal retains its original suspension ring and ribbon, showing honest period wear consistent with age and use.
Condition: Very Fine. Medal with even surface wear and pleasing aged patina; details remain clear and well defined. Ribbon original, lightly toned and creased from wear but intact. Suspension and pin functional.
A scarce Masonic commemorative medal associated with one of the most prominent royal figures in British Freemasonry.
