Lodge of Silent Temple No. 126 jewel, gilt and enamel, commemorating the Bicentenary 1762–1962, suspended from its original pale blue ribbed silk ribbon fitted with ornate gilt scroll bars, the upper bar applied with a purple enamel “CC” device flanked by the dates 1762 – 1962, and a lower blue enamel bar inscribed “No. 126”.
The obverse featuring a circular openwork gilt medallion within a pale blue enamel border lettered “LODGE OF SILENT TEMPLE”, enclosing an intricate interlaced symbolic motif, with the date 1762 at the base. The reverse plain gilt with openwork centre and maker’s marks “T.K.S” and “E.S.M”, fitted with its original long pin fastening.
A finely executed mid-20th century Masonic jewel, marking the Lodge’s bicentenary, notable for its restrained colour palette, high-quality enamelling, and elegant openwork design.
Condition: Very good, with light wear and patina consistent with age; enamels intact; ribbon well preserved.
