Royal Masonic Institution for Boys Steward’s badge, dated 1914, gilt and enamel, suspended from its original blue ribbed silk ribbon with yellow edge stripes. The obverse with enamelled badge depicting the crowned shield supported by two pelicans, surmounted by a crowned scene within a red enamelled circlet dated 1914, and a scroll below inscribed “Royal Masonic Institution for Boys”. Above, the oval steward’s device and suspension bar enamelled “Steward”. The reverse plain, retaining its original pin fitting, with maker’s mark “Kenning & Son, London” to the suspension bar. A fine and well-preserved example of an early 20th-century Royal Masonic Institution for Boys steward’s badge, retaining strong enamel colours and original ribbon. Condition: Very good, with light surface wear and minor enamel imperfections consistent with age; ribbon with light wear. Date: 1914.
