Sicily. Motya. Circa 412-400 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 23.60 mm, 8.30 g). Hound standing right on exergue line; border of dots. Rev. mṭv' (in Punic, traces), Head of nymph right, the hair at the back of the head; behind the neck, ivy leaf. Jenkins, SNR 50 (1971), pl. 3, 27 (O13/R16) = Campana CNAI II, 375, 8B/a = Buceti 8/3a (same dies). SNG Ashmolean 1858 = SNG Lockett 3503 (same dies). Viola CNP 464 a (same dies). Cf. HGC 2, 928. Light iridescent toning with a small die wear on obverse. Traces of double-striking on reverse and surfaces with several cleaning scratches, otherwise, Very Fine. Very Rare.
