Draped Felicitas standing front, head left, holding long caduceus, vertical, in right hand and cornucopiae in left hand. Cf. RIC III 304, 314-315 (for reverse). AR/AE. 2.63 g. 17.5 mm. Contemporary counterfeit, the copper core is exposed on the edge. Extremely rare and intriguing, this coin represents a hybrid using different obverse and reverse dies that usually aren't paired or a combination of legends which is not used on any official issues. A very interesting study piece. VF.

Draped bust right, hair elaborately waved in several loops round head and drawn up and coiled on top. R/ [Μ Γ]ΑΛΕΡΙΟϹ ΑΝΤ[ωΝΙΝΟϹ ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΟϹ ΑΝΤωΝ]ΙΝΟΥ ΥΙΟϹ. Draped bust of Galerius Antoninus right. RPC online IV.3, 3006. AE. 11.4 g. 27 mm. RRR. A very rare type. Encrustations. Slightly porous surfaces. Cleaning marks. About VF. M. Galerius Aurelius Antoninus was the second son of Antoninus Pius and Faustina, but he had already died before his father became emperor. This coin was issued to honour the memory of the empress and her son.
